 Malaysian Ambassador to ASEAN Sarah Al Bakri Devadason told VOV’s correspondent that the Forum’s theme “Building a United, Inclusive, and Resilient ASEAN amidst Global Transformations” resonates well with ASEAN members and is linked to Malaysia's vision as ASEAN Chair in 2025.

"The ASEAN Future Forum is a positive initiative by Vietnam. The theme of unity, inclusivity, and resilience resonates well with ASEAN members. It’s part of our core principles. Nowadays the geopolitical landscape is very challenging, but I think the Forum offers a very good opportunity for a frank and full dialogue among those who are interested in this theme and those who are interested in moving ASEAN forward." Ambassador Devadason said.

As the rotating Chair this year, Malaysia is promoting the adoption of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. The ASEAN Future Forum complements and strengthens the region's synergy, laying a solid foundation for a unified, future-ready ASEAN, Ambassador Devadason said. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will deliver the keynote opening speech on Tuesday.
