(VOVWORLD) - The groundbreaking ceremony for the VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park took place on Wednesday in Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province, with National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man in attendance.

The event coincided with two significant milestones, which are the 80th anniversary of the Ba To Uprising (March 11) and the 50th anniversary of Quang Ngai’s liberation (March 24).
Speaking at the event, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh recognized the efforts of local authorities and the contributions of both domestic and foreign investors, particularly Singaporean enterprises operating in Vietnam.
He urged Singapore’s Sembcorp Group and Vietnam’s Becamex Corporation to develop VSIP II Quang Ngai into a smart, modern, and sustainable industrial park. The vision is to establish a dynamic ecosystem integrating industry, innovation, and residential services, ensuring that industrialization aligns harmoniously with the local community, infrastructure, and the development of a knowledge-based economy.
