(VOVWORLD) - Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin have agreed to intensify international efforts to secure an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and ensure unhindered access to humanitarian aid.

In a phone talk on Tuesday, the two leaders said these steps will pave the way to address the conflict based on the two-state solution.
The same day, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, through a phone call, emphasized the need to immediately halt clashes in Gaza and deliver immediate aid to people in the region.
The Qatari Minister reiterated his support for a Palestinian State and establishing public channels to contact Hamas militant group.
