(VOVWORLD) - A 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar nearly two weeks ago killed more than 3,600 people. More than 5,000 people were injured and 145 are still missing, Myanmar’s State Administration Council said on Wednesday.

Myanmar has concluded its search and rescue phase and officially entered the reconstruction phase. But these efforts are currently met with significant challenges, from severely damaged infrastructure to adverse weather conditions.
