Deputy PM calls for Standard Chartered’s further participation in creating financial centers in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam hopes Standard Chartered will continue to participate in creating international financial centers in Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said at a reception in London on Monday for the bank’s CEO Saif Malik.

The reception was part of Mr. Binh’s working visit to the UK until Thursday to seek assistance in building financial centers in Vietnam.

Malik pledged the bank’s support in establishing, operating, and managing financial centers. He added Standard Chartered plans to expand its cooperation and investment in Vietnam, particularly in emerging sectors such as the green economy and the circular economy.

The CEO expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government will continue to facilitate Standard Chartered’s business operations in Vietnam.
