(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc is scheduled to attend the High-Level Policy Dialogue Program at Columbia University in New York and pay a working visit to the US and an official visit to Cuba from April 6 to 14.

Mr. Phoc’s visit to the US takes place amid the celebration of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the US (12/7/1995-12/7/2025).
Vietnam considers the US a partner of strategic importance. Vietnam's ministries and sectors are actively working to address the US’s current concerns regarding the bilateral economic trade and investment ties.
Vietnam encourages increased imports of key US products that Vietnam has a demand, especially agricultural products, liquefied gas and high-tech products.
Vietnam and Cuba are celebrating the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year (2/12/1960-2/12/2025). Cuba is currently one of Vietnam's important partners in Latin America, as Vietnam is Cuba's largest foreign investor.
Currently, many state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and large corporations of Vietnam are operating in industry, construction and agriculture in Cuba.
