(VOVworld) – Shelling in eastern Ukraine killed 1 government soldier and wounded 7, a Ukraine army spokesman said Sunday.  The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe confirmed the shelling.

Ukraine army spokesperson Oleksandr Motuzyanyk told reporters that the opposition has violated the ceasefire agreement several times, accusing them of attacking government forces using rockets and other heavy weapons.
The same day, the Defense Ministry of the self-proclaimed People’s Republic of Donetsk said Ukraine’s army has violated the ceasefire 59 times in the last 24 hours, using heavy weapons and killing a humanitarian worker with the Novorossiya Foundation.
