(VOVworld) - The Cultural Day of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups for this year opened in Hanoi on Saturday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony in Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, President Tran Dai Quang said the event aimed to promote cultural values of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam and foster national unity and pride: “The Cultural Day of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups has truly become a festival for ethnic people to meet and share fine cultural values. This will help preserve and promote tangible and intangible heritages while developing social economy, protect the environment and reduce poverty.”
