(VOVworld) – The President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan on Sunday attended the ground-breaking ceremony of Thong Thuan – Tra Vinh high-tech shrimp breeding center.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nhan highlighted the efforts and determination of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Tra Vinh authorities. He said in 2016, despite unfavorable weather conditions and unstable international markets, Vietnamese shrimp exports achieved high revenue, contributing to national economic development. Mr. Nhan called for more efforts to increase farmers’ income as part of achieving the agricultural restructuring target.
