(VOVworld) – More than 300 artisans representing craft villages nationwide will participate in the 2017 Hue Traditional Craft Festival, to take place in Hue from this Friday.

The major focus of the event will be the Ao dai (long dress) festival at Truong Tien Bridge on Sunday evening, and a fashion show featuring 19 designers from Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Spain.
Nguyen Dang Thanh, Vice-Chairman of the Hue municipal People’s Committee and head of the organizing board, said: “The number of participating artisans this year increases sharply compared to previous events. Some sister and cooperative cities with Hue including Saijo, Takayam, and Shizuoka of Japan and Dongnae of South Korea also send their artisans to the festival.”
