NA should pioneer investing in digital infrastructure, says top legislator

(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on Wednesday urged the National Assembly to take the lead in investing in digital infrastructure and applying science and technology.

At a digital transformation symposium organized by the National Assembly Office on Wednesday in Hanoi, Chairman Man requested the legislature to make greater effort to go digital. 

“Developing science and technology, innovation and transformation are key and indispensable factors to build a modern, democratic, transparent, professional, scientific and effective National Assembly. Artificial intelligence will become a powerful assistant of the Assembly in decision making, promptly responding to practical requirements, improving supervision efficiency and better connecting with voters and the people.”

The National Assembly Chairman stressed the need to learn from experience and boost research and technology transfer cooperation with advanced countries in artificial intelligence and modern digital technology suited to practical conditions of the Vietnamese National Assembly.

At the symposium, Chairman and General Director of the Military Industry- Telecommunications Group Tao Duc Thang and Executive Director of GenAI Fund Laura Nguyen discussed digital parliament in Vietnam.
