(VOVworld) – The draft law on referendums is being discussed at the National Assembly’s 10^th session. The compilation of the bill is presided over by the Vietnam Bar Association.

The deputies agreed to organize a national referendum on key issues to promote people’s power, national unity, and social consensus. The Constitution and the Law on the Organization of the National Assembly define those that issues relating to the Constitution and of national importance that should be open to public comment.

When a referendum is hold, it’s important to fully inform people about the issues and options, so that they can make active and responsible decisions.”
