New customs model processes 1 billion USD in trade on first day
(VOVWORLD) -A new organizational model of Vietnam's Customs Department processed over 20,300 declarations with import-export turnover worth 1.05 billion USD on Saturday, the first day of the new model.

In 2025 the Customs Department aims to reduce the time for handling administrative procedures by at least 30%, cut at least 30% of the cost of procedures, and review and abolish at least 30% of unnecessary business conditions.
The handling of procedures related to enterprises will be carried out entirely in an electronic environment, ensuring continuity, transparency and efficiency.
