(VOVworld)  - North Korea has vowed to launch more satellites into orbit, saying preparations are in the final phase. The statement was made on Monday, suggesting North Korea will fire a long-range rocket around the 70th anniversary of the founding of its ruling Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in October.

North Korea’s KCNA news agency quoted the director of the National Aerospace Development Administration (NADA) as saying that NADA is pushing to complete a new earth observation satellite. The director said North Korea has made huge progress in its research into geostationary satellites and the world will clearly see new satellites in the sky at times and locations to be determined by the WPK Central Committee. The exact launch date has not been confirmed.
