(VOVWORLD) - The Central Theoretical Council opened its 9th session on Thursday to contribute opinions to the draft review of theoretical and practical issues during 50 years of national reunification (1975-2025).

Professor Nguyen Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics told the meeting that the review aims to fine-tune the theory of socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam.
It will provide a theoretical and practical foundation to the Party Politburo and the Party Secretariat in leading and preparing documents for the 14th National Party Congress. The Council discussed five overarching lessons drawn from 50 years of national reunification.
The report will soon be submitted to the Party Politburo and the Party Secretariat.
