PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc urges Nghe An to enhance administrative reform

(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked Nghe An province to push ahead with administrative reform and resolve obstacles to support businesses and the people. At a meeting with the provincial authorities on Monday, Prime Minister Phuc underscored the need for Nghe An to change its thinking about socio-economic development and optimise its strength to grow further.

Mr. Phuc said: “Nghe An province needs to change its thinking to promote its potential and advantages to diversify production. It’s necessary to change their mindset of waiting for subsidy and mobilize all social resources for development, including the private sector. Nghe An province’s population of 6 million people will be a great potential for innovation and development.”
PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc noted that economic development must be paired with protecting the natural environment and people’s living conditions in urban and rural areas.
He requested the provincial authorities to maintain a transparent administrative system and a fair and healthy competition, guarantee people’s property rights, and not to criminalize economic and civil relations.
The province was also asked to seek more sustainable and comprehensive cooperation with neighboring provinces to become a centre of the country’s north central region.
