(VOVworld) - President Tran Dai Quang on Thursday hosted Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, Martin Klepetko, who came to bid farewell at the end of his tenure.

At the reception, President Quang hailed Ambassador Martin’s role and his positive contributions during his term in Vietnam, thereby helping strengthen the time-honoured friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. President Quang reiterated Vietnam’s readiness to create favorable conditions for Czech enterprises to seek business opportunities in the country.
He suggested the Czech Republic continue to support and promote comprehensive cooperation partnership between Vietnam and the European Union (EU) towards the early signing of the EU-Vietnam free trade agreement (EVFTA), and recognize Vietnam’s market economy status thus facilitating economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two nations. Vietnam is willing to assist the Czech Republic in strengthening relations with ASEAN and other member states, Quang said.
Ambassador Klepetko emphasized the need to intensify high-level exchange visits to deepen mutual understanding between the two peoples as well as enhancing economic and trade links.
