The two also discussed sealing Syrian’s border with Turkey to prevent militant infiltration.
In February, the Syrian government and rebel groups agreed to cease fire to pursue peace talks, but both sides have accused the other of violating the deal. The latest negotiation round in April failed to reach an agreement. A new round of negotiations is expected to be organized later this month, but the exact date has not been announced.
