In his speech, Vietnamese Party General Secretary To Lam emphasized that one of the most fundamental and strategic directions for Vietnam–China relations is “strengthening the social foundation,” with the younger generations playing a central role.
“The traditional friendship between Vietnam and China, fostered by President Ho Chi Minh, Chairman Mao Zedong, and generations of leaders, is an invaluable asset to both Parties, countries, and peoples. We must cherish and preserve it,” said Party leader Lam.
He called on young generation to fully understand and take up the responsibility to nurture and further develop this profound relationship of comradeship and brotherhood, as beloved President Ho Chi Minh once said.
The “Red Journey” featuring revolutionary heritage sites in both nations will help younger generations gain deeper understanding of the shared revolutionary history and mutual support, and raise awareness of the strategic significance of today’s Vietnam–China relations, Mr. Lam.
