(VOVWORLD) - US and Russian officials met in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to discuss solutions for the Ukraine conflict and ways to improve bilateral relations.
Following the meeting, US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce stated that both sides agreed to establish a consultation mechanism aimed at addressing bilateral issues and taking necessary steps to normalize diplomatic activities.
Additionally, high-level teams will be designated to work toward a long-term, sustainable, and mutually acceptable roadmap for ending the conflict in Ukraine.
The discussions also laid the groundwork for future cooperation on geopolitical matters of mutual interest.
Both nations pledged to maintain regular contact to ensure the process moves forward in a timely and effective manner.
