Vietnamese PM receives Party Secretary of China's Guangxi
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Chen Gang, member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, in Hanoi on Tuesday, reaffirming the strengthened ties between Vietnam and the Chinese locality.

Chen, who is also Chairman of the Regional People's Congress Standing Committee, is visiting Vietnam to attend a New Year meeting between the Party secretaries of Vietnam’s Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Ha Giang provinces, and China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
During their discussion, Prime Minister Chinh emphasized the need to accelerate railway infrastructure connectivity, enhance border gate cooperation, and facilitate Vietnamese goods' access to China and third markets.
He encouraged Guangxi and Vietnamese localities to adopt innovative approaches to improve cooperation quality, ensuring tangible benefits for both sides.
The Chinese official affirmed Guangxi's strong cooperation potential with Vietnam and expressed hopes for expanding transport connections—particularly railway links—boosting cross-border economic collaboration, and fostering joint efforts in artificial intelligence development.
