Vietnam,Togo reaffirm partnership on 50th diplomatic anniversary
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is committed to deepening ties with African countries, including Togo, President Luong Cuong said at Wednesday’s reception in Hanoi for Togo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Togolese Abroad, Robert Dussey, who is on a three-day official visit to Vietnam.

President Cuong underlined the significance of Minister Dussey’s visit as the two countries celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
He recommended measures to deepen bilateral ties, including enhancing high-level exchanges to reinforce political trust. It is also necessary to strengthen collaboration and mutual support at multilateral forums and organizations, such as the United Nations, Non-Aligned Movement, International Organisation of La Francophone, and African Union, he noted.
President Cuong said Vietnam is ready to collaborate with Togo in agricultural projects involving technology transfer and knowledge sharing.
Minister Dussey said that Vietnam and Togo share a vision in fostering national development and social stability.
Togo admires and supports Vietnam, considering the country one of its top priority partners in Asia, he said, adding Togo wishes to learn from Vietnam’s development experience and to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
