During the ceremony, provincial leaders paid tribute at the Temple of Emperor Quang Trung’s Father and Mother and laid a wreath at the Quang Trung Museum in Tay Son district to honor the great contributions of the Tay Son Dynasty and the civil and military officials who played a crucial role in the historic victory.
On the fifth day of the Lunar New Year in 1789, under the brilliant command of Emperor Quang Trung – Nguyen Hue (1753–1792), the Tay Son army defeated 290,000 Qing invaders, securing the monumental Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory—one of the most glorious feats in Vietnamese history.
Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Tuan Thanh, emphasized that in the spirit of the Ngoc Hoi - Dong Da victory and the rapid, decisive leadership of Emperor Quang Trung, Binh Dinh province remains committed to fostering solidarity, innovation, self-reliance, and determination to achieve further success.
He urged the province to accelerate development, enhance productivity, and leverage its strengths to achieve the socio-economic goals of 2025 in order to position Binh Dinh as a dynamic and well-developed province, contributing to the nation’s overall growth and successful implementation of economic reforms.
