Chinese professor hails CPV’s enduring credibility as Vietnam marks 50 years of national reunification
(VOVWORLD) - Prof. Dr. Cheng Hanping, Director of the Vietnam Research Centre at Zhejiang University of Technology, spoke highly of Vietnam’s April 30, 1975 victory, leading to the liberation of the south and national reunification.

In an interview with a Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Beijing, the Chinese scholar highlighted the tremendous achievements obtained by the Vietnamese people over the past five decades.
Professor Cheng said that this historic event established a crucial foundation for national reunification and progression towards socialism and forming a new society in which the people are the true masters and the protectors of revolutionary achievements. He affirmed that the 50-year journey is a testament of Vietnam’s correct development path, becoming a model for many other countries.
Professor Cheng noted that Vietnam today holds a prominent and influential position on the international stage, reflecting the successful political and economic changes over the past five decades and the vitality of the renewal policy. Vietnam consistently stands on the side of justice and international fairness, supporting the democratization of international relations, supporting the role of the UN, and promoting multilateralism and globalization, he added.
