Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication, Education, and Mass Mobilization Nguyen Trong Nghia and Minister of National Defense General Phan Van Giang attended the event.

The centerpiece of the program was a 2,700 square meter stage designed to represent the Hien Luong bridge over the Ben Hai river, symbolizing the reunification of North and South Vietnam.

The program incorporated a modern surround sound system and laser lighting effects to project vivid scenes of the army marching through the Truong Son forest, tanks advancing toward the Independence Palace, and a boat navigating the Ben Hai river.

Performances commemorating Vietnam’s heroic struggle conveyed a message of profound gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom.

The highlight of the program was the "North-South Promise" journey, which followed 120 veterans returning to former battlefields.

Their journey traced a path from Hanoi through the Central Highlands to Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, and Ho Chi Minh City, revisiting locations where they had fought.

Colonel Pham Van Tu, Director of the Military Radio and Television Center and a member of the organizing committee, said: "The live performance featured armored vehicles that participated in the battlefield in the Truong Son Trail. The seamless blend of historical narratives and live action highlighted the resolve of the nation and intensity of the war, aiming to inspire the young generation to cherish peace and contribute to national development."

The program concluded with a 15-minute fireworks display set to the music of "As if Uncle Ho were with us on Victory Day."
