(VOVWORLD) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday that Russia has agreed to resume a dialogue with the US on all issues related to the conflict in Ukraine, including prisoner exchanges.

Peskov made the announcement following talks between high-level Russian and US delegations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday.
Russia's TASS news agency quoted Peskov as saying that Russia and the US need to undertake preparatory work, with no specific timeframe currently set.
He noted that the meeting will occur as soon as mutually agreeable, adding that the US has agreed to begin substantive preparations immediately.
Peskov said that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had instructed the ministry's diplomatic staff to swiftly assemble expert-level negotiating teams to begin discussions on all relevant issues.
