Live TV broadcast celebrates Spring 1975 triumph
(VOVWORLD) -The 50th anniversary of the liberation of the south and national reunification was celebrated by the TV program themed “Forever the Triumphant Song”, connecting three key locations of Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Quang Tri province on Sunday evening.

President Luong Cuong attended the live broadcast in Ho Chi Minh City in southern Vietnam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi in the north, and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man in Quang Tri in central region.

More than 1,200 artists performed in the program divided in three chapters titled “Aspiration for Peace”, “The Will for Independence and Unification” and “We Proudly move forward! Oh Vietnam”. The audience were introduced to the heroic history of the nation, historical lessons, the spirit of solidarity, and achievements of national construction and development.

In an episode from Ho Chi Minh City, American veteran who had kept the memento of a Vietnamese martyr for 50 years, now gave it back to the martyr’s family. The foreign diplomats singing a song praising Vietnam joined by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh from Hanoi left a deep impression.
