Arab countries, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan, welcomed Saudi Arabia's mediation role and expressed hope that the talks would contribute to promoting peace and stability in the region.
The Palestinian Presidency praised the negotiations as “the culmination of the wise policy pursued by the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a policy which fosters regional and international stability and affirms Riyadh’s commitment to its effective role to achieving peace and security.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during his trip to Turkey, expressed "surprise" when he learned about the Russia-US talks. “This was a surprise to us, as it was to many. We learned about it from the media,” Zelensky said. He once again emphasized that the EU and Turkey need to be involved in discussions about Ukraine's future.
Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said on social network X, "There can be no negotiation about Ukraine without Ukraine. The same is true for Europe. Europe must be involved in the negotiations."
French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Tuesday that he will host another meeting on Ukraine after the talks between the new US administration and Russia, adding that Donald Trump "can restart a useful dialogue" with Vladimir Putin.
