Deputy Pham Van Hoa of Dong Thap province said that amending the Law on Government Organization to align with the revised Law on Local Government Organization and the revised Law on the Organization of the National Assembly is crucial for streamlining the structure of both the National Assembly and the central-to-local government apparatus.
"This amendment is not only necessary but also urgent to ensure the smooth functioning of executive agencies starting March 1,” he said.
Deputy Nguyen Huu Chinh of Hanoi said revising the law is essential. "One of the key highlights of the revised law is the strengthened decentralization and delegation of power. This is a crucial step in fine-tuning the socialist state governed by law.”
The Law on Government Organization clearly defines the duties, powers, and responsibilities of the Government, the Prime Minister, Ministers, and Heads of ministry-level agencies, as well as the functions and managerial scope of ministries and ministry-level agencies. It also upholds the principle of collective leadership and personal accountability.
