Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh delivers a thematic report at the conference

The PM delivered a speech at a Hanoi conference on Wednesday to disseminate and discuss the implementation of the Resolution adopted by the freshly concluded 11th plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee. He underlined the new points of the draft Summary Report about some theoretical and practical issues on the socialist-oriented renewal process in Vietnam over the past 40 years.

“The first new point is the context in line with the current situation at home and abroad. The second new point is that Vietnam continues to perfect socialism and its path to socialism, based on three main pillars. They are building a socialist democracy that promotes the strength of great national unity; continuing to perfect a socialist rule-of-law state by the people, for the people, of the people, close to the people and understanding the people; building a socialist-oriented market economy with State management, Party leadership, and promoting the people's mastery. Among the three pillars, the people are the center.”

According to Prime Minister Chinh, the Party Central Committee emphasized continuing to renew the Party building policy, building a clean and strong Party, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members with new measures and new mindset.

Efforts should be made to develop rapidly and sustainably, maintain macroeconomic stability, curb inflation, boost growth, ensure major balances of the economy, and control public debt, government debt, foreign debt, and budget deficit, PM Chinh said.
