Prime Minister Justin Trudeau extends New Year greetings to Vietnamese Community in Canada
(VOVWORLD) - The Canada-Vietnam Society (CVS) and the Vietnam-Canada Business Association (VCBA) in the East Coast region, in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Canada, hosted a celebration marking the arrival of the Year of the Snake 2025 for the Vietnamese community on February 1.

During the event, Dr. Nguyen Dai Trang, Co-Chair of the Canada-Vietnam Society, delivered a New Year message from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In his letter, Prime Minister Trudeau highlighted that Lunar New Year is a time for reflection on past achievements and an opportunity to embrace the future with optimism and hope. He noted that this year, the Vietnamese community in Canada and worldwide welcomes the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom, charm, elegance, and transformation.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the significant contributions of the Vietnamese community to Canada, emphasizing their role in fostering diversity and inclusion.
Additionally, representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy, including the Deputy Head of Mission, shared insights on Vietnam’s key achievements over the past year and extended their own New Year wishes to the community.
