(VOVWORLD) - A national workshop commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification will be held on April 20 in Ho Chi Minh City by the Ministry of National Defense.

Entitled “The 1975 Spring Victory and Vietnam’s new era of development”, the workshop will highlight Vietnamese people’s and army’s unwavering will and determination to liberate the South and reunify the country under the sound and visionary leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.
Participants will analyze the role and historical significance of the April 30, 1975 victory and its valuable lessons for national defense and development. Sideline activities will include presenting gifts to policy beneficiary families in Ho Chi Minh City and an incense offering ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
