Trump says he wants to work with Russia, China on limiting nuclear weapons
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump said on Thursday he wants to restart nuclear arms control talks with Russia and China and hopes that eventually, all three countries could agree to cut their massive defense budgets in half.

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office that he would look to engage in nuclear talks with the two countries once “we straighten it all out” in the Middle East and Ukraine. He gave no specific timeline for these discussions, but said he hoped to get started in the "not too distant future."
Trump also said he would “love” to have Russia back in the G7, from which it was suspended in 2014 after Moscow annexed Ukraine’s Crimea peninsula. “I think it was a mistake to throw him out,” the US President said, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
