Vietnam, UAE agree to promote cooperation
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son held bilateral meetings with UAE Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Tuesday in Dubai, within the framework of the World Governments Summit 2025.

In his meeting with the UAE Vice President, Son reiterated Vietnam’s commitment to carrying out high-level agreements and boosting ties with the UAE. He called for cooperation in turning commitments into concrete actions, particularly through the swift ratification and implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Priority areas include economy, trade, investment, defense, high tech, green transition, digital transformation, agriculture, and labor.
The UAE Vice President confirmed that investment agencies and funds have been directed to develop cooperation plans in these areas.
At the meeting with the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Son expressed Vietnam's desire for the UAE to share experience and support the development of institutions and policies to attract investment in international financial centers in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and the Free Trade Zones in Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Hai Phong.
The UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs said the UAE leadership highly values relations with Vietnam. He encouraged both sides to increase exchanges and promote cooperation in the labor sector, given the UAE's significant demand for labor and desire to diversify the foreign population living and working in the UAE.
