(VOVWORLD) - Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh met with UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner on Tuesday as part of his working visit to the United Kingdom.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh encouraged UK businesses to expand investments in Vietnam, particularly in clean and renewable energy which are key priorities for the Vietnamese government.
He also expressed hope that the UK government would support Vietnam in training high-quality human resources and facilitating study opportunities for Vietnamese students in the UK. Binh also urged the UK’s expertise in developing financial centers.
Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner highlighted the strong potential for bilateral trade growth, particularly in new and renewable energy, and affirmed the UK’s commitment to strengthening ties with Vietnam.
Both sides agreed to enhance delegation exchanges, especially at high levels, to build political trust and drive forward their cooperation.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging existing trade agreements to facilitate market access for goods and services, aiming to elevate bilateral relations as they're celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam-UK Strategic Partnership (2010–2025).
Later that day in London, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh visited the London Stock Exchange and held discussions with Julia Holgate, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group, as well as representatives of the leading British corporation Swire.
