During talks with Finance Committee Chairman Bhartruhari Mahtab, Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai proposed closer cooperation between the finance committees of both nations, focusing on capacity-building programs, experience-sharing in public debt management, capital mobilization policies, and the development of preferential policies for special economic zones. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration in applying digital technology to financial and budgetary sectors.

Chairman Bhartruhari Mahtab welcomed the proposal and expressed readiness to facilitate experience exchanges in tax legislation, global minimum tax policies, investment incentives, and the development of high-tech and special economic zones.

At a meeting with K. Nandini Singla, Executive Director of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai urged for continued Indian support in restoring, preserving, and renovating Cham towers in Quang Nam province, with potential expansion to other provinces.

He also emphasized the need for training archaeological and restoration experts and engineers, as well as support for establishing the Indochina Buddhist Institute.

ICCR Executive Director K. Nandini Singla suggested increasing the organization of cultural festivals and exchange programs in both countries to enhance cultural ties.

The same day, while meeting with Vietnamese diplomatic officials and community representatives at the Embassy, Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai encouraged overseas Vietnamese, particularly students and researchers, to pursue studies in technology, science, and engineering—key fields that will contribute to Vietnam’s future development.
