(VOVWORLD) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday visited the Tulkarem refugee camp in the northern West Bank, urging the army to intensify its month-long military operation.

His visit followed Thursday's bombing of three buses in Bat Yam, Israel. No casualties were reported.
The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Egypt, and Jordan held an informal summit in Riyadh on Friday to discuss a regional plan to replace US President Donald Trump’s proposal on taking over the Gaza strip and displacing Palestinian. A source close to the Saudi government confirmed the summit took place but that the discussions remained confidential, with no official statement released.
Saudi media reported that Arab leaders will make significant decisions at the upcoming Arab League (AL) Summit in Egypt on March 4.
In related news, Lebanese President Michel Aoun, meeting with US Senator Darrell Issa in Beirut, called for continued US support for the Lebanese army, particularly in the south. He also urged US pressure on Israel to complete its withdrawal from the remaining five positions it occupied in southern Lebanon. Issa pledged to work with the US administration and Congress to address Lebanon's concerns regarding Israel’s complete withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
