(VOVWORLD) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said Monday he is open to bilateral talks with Ukraine. Speaking to state broadcaster Pavel Zarubin of the VGTRK, Putin said Russia has a positive attitude toward any peace initiatives and hopes the Kyiv regime feels the same way.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that when President Putin says it’s possible to discuss avoiding civilian targets, he has in mind discussions with Ukraine.
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday that Ukraine will send a delegation to talks with the UK, France and the US in London on Wednesday on ending the three-year-old conflict with Russia.
In a statement on X, Zelensky said Ukraine is ready to move forward as constructively as possible to achieve an unconditional ceasefire, followed by the establishment of a real and lasting peace.
